How To Obtain A Social Media Page For My Region

Before obtaining a Facebook / Instagram page for your region, please consult the GTI Project Coordinator. It is important to get approval for this first.

Prior training and conversation are needed to help you understand how to communicate the GTI brand effectively and professionally. Please honour this request, and help us to stay professional and unified as a team.

Once your request has been approved, a GTI administrator or Project Coordinator will create the page for you and give you the required role to manage the page.


  1. To create a Facebook page for the regional GTI group, visit this page.

  2. The Page name must be “Global Tree Initiative [Country]“, where Country is replaced by the applicable country’s name.

  3. The Category must be “Environmental conservation organization”.

  4. The Bio, should briefly describe the activities we plan on doing (tree-planting activities, environmental education workshops, etc.) as well as mention that the group is an official affiliate of the Global Tree Initiative.

  5. The Profile picture must be the GTI logo, and the Banner image will be provided to you upon request at bengu@plantgrowsave.org.

  6. The designated volunteer will now be added as an administrator to the social media page.

  7. Ongoing quality control should take place, and a high standard of professionalism should be maintained at all times.
