About the Global Tree Initiative
The Global Tree Initiative (GTI) was founded by Tenzin Ösel Hita in the fall of 2019. The GTI is a grassroots network of concerned world citizens, working one person at a time and one seed at a time from the ground up to save the future of our children.

Our Legal Status
The Global Tree Initiative is a project of the Universal Clear Light, Inc. (UCL). NON-PROFIT
The Universal Clear Light is recognized by the IRS as a non-profit 501c3 charitable organization: EIN 85 – 3104064.

Contributions made by US citizens are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. A copy of the Official Registration and Financial Information may be obtained from The Division Of Consumer Services by calling toll-free (800-435-7352) within
the state. Registration does not imply endorsement, approval, or recommendation by the state.

Our Founder
The Global Tree Initiative (GTI) was founded by Tenzin Ösel Hita from Spain.

Ösel is a 21st-century radical freethinker, humanitarian, documentary filmmaker, musician, father, friend, life-long-student, and a former Buddhist monk. There are many humanitarian and educational visions close to Ösel’s heart, including his One World Orphanages Project, which will aim to provide family, education, and support to the most destitute children in developing countries; creating sustainable Eco villages; and planting millions of trees.
