Anyone can submit an article for the website for either the Blog, News Section, or the Education page.
To submit an article, please send an email to admin@plantgrowsave.org, including a Word document with the text and relevant images / photographs, to illustrate it.
“From The Woods” Blog
The “From The Woods” blog is a blog by the Global Tree Initiative (GTI), developed by a group of writers from the GTI’s global community.
The aim of the blog is to entertain and educate GTI’s audience on topics linked to GTI’s mission and vision.
One of the columns on the “From The Woods” blog is the Community Blog. The objective of this column is to give GTI’s audience the floor to express themselves concerning relevant topics.
There are two ways to have one’s article published in this column. Either the management team invites someone to write about a specific topic, or an interested writer can spontaneously submit an article for evaluation by the management team.
When spontaneously submitting an article, the writer should guarantee that the chosen topic is aligned with the GTI’s mission and vision and, on the other hand, that the text is clear, professional, and original. Furthermore, writers should aim to write about current subjects and support their sentences with trustworthy references (when applicable).
Writers should also note that, when submitting an article, the same stays pending until approved by the management team. The management team may request edits from the writers, after which the article is inserted into GTI’s calendar for publication.
Finally, the writer should always provide the management team with good-quality photographs or images to illustrate his or her article.
News Section
The News Section is… for news! News related to our global community and their activities, as well as days or events celebrated globally.
In the News Section, we do not solely write about the tree-planting in our community. We also write to promote other environmental activities and celebrations, and other relevant news about our community and regional groups.
If you have news to report, please tell us about it, and we can help you share your news with the global GTI community!
Education Section
Education page was set up to create a space where writers could delve deeper into a certain topic. Educational articles are, therefore, more technical and can be longer than blog articles and other website articles.
If you are, or know someone who is, an expert (on or simply an interested individual) on a given topic, reach out to us with a proposal.
All articles must be well-referenced. Further, the article’s subject must be aligned with GTI’s mission and vision. A few possible topics are:
- Nature Conservation
- Ecology
- Education (concerning both the mind and the heart)
- Community Building
- Human-Nature relation
