Job Description: Regional Coordinator

The regional coordinator role offers flexibility and innovation.

This role requires you to volunteer a minimum of two hours per week. If needed, you may be allowed access to a PlantGrowSave.org email account, and you are required to maintain this GTI email account at least once per week:


  • Understanding the subtle mission and vision of the GTI, before engaging in any activity.
  • Identify leads for potential tree-planting projects and collaborations. This includes individuals, social projects, organizations, and governmental bodies and agencies.
  • Communication with the project coordinator and other regional coordinators.
  • Stay up to date with the latest GTI news.
  • Ensure all trees are reported with GTI before publishing stories on social media.
  • Supply local projects with information and materials needed to collaborate effectively with the GTI.
  • Ensure that the GTI Style guide is adhered to. This is important for brand promotion.
  • Provide feedback to the GTI Management Team with factual context and background on new projects/contacts and reports before any GTI articles or stories are compiled about the project/and/or/people involved.
  • The coordinator acts as the primary liaison person, reporting to the GTI, avoiding duplication of effort and confusion.
  • To promote the planting of NATIVE plants and trees that are good for your regional ecosystem. Preserving those local seeds and availability of their saplings and seeds, knowledge of growing these seeds and plants, may be considered a standard operating procedure under all GTI regions.

Additional:

As the regional coordinator, you may obtain and operate a social media profile, representing GTI on a national level. Should this be the case, our social media guidelines policy should be adhered to.
